Applicants
must return their completed application form no later than Friday 16th
December 2011 |

Following the processing of all
applications, you may be invited to attend a meeting with the Director of
Sixth Form |
 |
|
Applicants will be offered a
place if:
- Their application forms were
submitted by the set closing date. Applications received after the deadline
will be considered if there is a space on the subject for which they have
applied
- There is an acceptable
reference provided by their present school (external applicants only)

Suitable applicants will be
notified in writing of their meeting with the Director of Sixth Form and /
or the Headmaster. A parent/guardian MUST accompany all
applicants to this meeting. Should this not be the case, the meeting will be
rescheduled. This meeting will allow prospective students and their
parents/guardians to explore the academic and vocational opportunities
available and agree with the school a course of study based on knowledge,
skills and experience. |

The formal offer of places will
be issued by the first week in March 2012. |
 |
|
Students who wish to accept an
offer of a place in Bishop Thomas Grant Sixth Form MUST inform the
Headmaster in writing and will be regarded as a commitment on your part. |
 |
|
All places are
CONDITIONAL on students meeting the admissions criteria and
achieving the examination grades required. |
 |
|
In June, after KS4
examinations, selected students will be invited to attend a ‘Taster Day’
during which they will have the opportunity to meet staff, fellow students
and familiarise themselves with our Sixth Form. They will also have the
opportunity to attend taster lessons in some A Level subjects. |

Following the publication of the
GCSE examination results in August 2012, students
will be expected to submit their
results to the Director of Sixth Form, Mr. W. Stapelberg. |
