As a school we are currently renewing our Healthy Schools London status and as part of this we have been accredited the Bronze STARS award. We are only the second secondary school in Lambeth to be accredited which is an excellent achievement. TfL's STARS accreditation scheme inspires young Londoners to think differently about travel and its impact on their health, wellbeing and the environment. In order to achieve this, all pupils carried out a ‘hands up’ survey during form time to find out how they currently travel to school and how they would like to travel to school. The results have proven to be very interesting. Most of our pupils travel into school by bus and we have a lot of pupils who would like to travel more actively into school. As a result, Miss Andrews and the Wellbeing Committee will be working with Lambeth to put together an active travel plan to inspire pupils to travel actively to school and therefore improve their general health and wellbeing as well as having a positive impact on the environment!
