During the Summer Break Bishop Thomas Grant School received a letter of thanks from The Catholic Agency for Overseas Development (CAFOD) for the donation of £328.60 which students raised during the month of Lent last year. CAFOD are an international charity which work through local Catholic Churches and partners in Africa, Asia, Latin America and the Middle East to fight poverty and injustice.
Mr Chris Funnell from CAFOD writes, “A huge thank you for everyone at Bishop Thomas Grant School for the money you raised for CAFOD during Lent. Your donation means so much to us, and to the people we work with around the world. We could not do our work without the help of schools like yours, so thank you so much to each and every one of you”. Details of CAFOD’s work can be seen at www.cafod.org.uk.
This message will be sure to motivate our school community in our current and future fundraising endeavours.
