Jack Petchey Celebrations! image

Jack Petchey Celebrations!

Congratulations to our Jack Petchey winners for this term!  The Jack Petchey Foundation is a charity that recognises and celebrates the achievement of young people in London. Our award winners will receive their awards on the 10th July during a prestigious celebration event in Lambeth.
Our students have received the Jack Petchey award for young achievers for the following reasons;
Georgia is our head girl. She is an excellent role model for her peers and our students. Georgia is fully involved in the school community, her organisational skills are amazing, she has helped out at open evenings, organised the school prefects, and has represented the school at various events during the year. Georgia has also given her time to mentor KS3 students who have benefited greatly from her words of wisdom; and who are very appreciative of the time that she spends with them.
Kacper is a compassionate and caring young man with a zeal for learning and a dedication to helping others. He is our Head boy, and serves as an excellent role model for all members of the school community. Kacper has helped to organise, and has also participated in many school events this year. He also recently responded to an appeal by becoming a ACLT stem donor recently, which saved someone’s life (read more about the work of the charity ACLT here
Cindy takes her work for the eco-group very seriously. Cindy saw how much paper the school was using and took action to make a change. She found out about a search engine that will earn money for planting more trees every time someone uses it for an online search. Not content with just using it herself, she drummed up support amongst the student population and pushed for it to become used on every computer across the entire school.
Destiny is a cheerful soul who is happy to help everyone, she is extremely hardworking and is commended for her work on the school council and as a year 11 prefect. Destiny is an excellent role model for the school community.
Daniel has put a lot of time and effort into the school council initiative. He has planned and carried out highly helpful surveys across the school. Daniel is very helpful to staff and he has to be commended for his much improved work ethic. Daniel is always cheerful and upbeat which brightens people’s day.
