The annual Bishop Thomas Grant School Art Exhibition took place on 17th June in the Main Hall and was attended by a large number of visitors including staff, students, governors and parents. In attendance was the Mayor of Lambeth Donatus Anyanwu, and TV broadcaster and journalist Miranda Sawyer also came to distribute the prizes which were awarded for students' work.
After the event Headteacher Mr Desa received a letter from Jacob Duncan at the Department for Education (Ministerial and Public Communications Division), who wrote: "The department strongly believes that every child should experience a high-quality arts and cultural education throughout their time at school. We are always pleased to read of when the enthusiasm of teachers and students alike come together to create positive and lasting memories demonstrating these experiences."
Head of Art Ms Partleton was pleased with the response to the exhibition and commented, "Our students worked very hard to produce such a colourful and vibrant exhibition and I am very pleased that their work has been acknowledged so positively, both by those who attended and by the Department for Education. This makes our work as teachers all the more rewarding".
