Bishop Thomas Grant Police Cadets at Trooping the Colour

PC Andy Hewlett sent us this recent report of our volunteer police cadets' activities:

“Our cadets did a wonderful job at last Saturday’s Trooping the Colour Aid in central London. This year we were given the prime posting of managing the Youth Enclosure on Horse Guards. Our 15 cadets were up early to parade at 0600 hrs at Gipsy Hill Police Station before feeding at Charing Cross and then being ground assigned at Horse Guards at 0800 hrs. Their immaculate turnout was commented on by the Commissioner who had a quick chat with them as he rode past on his horse.

“Their role was to escort the invited youth groups to the enclosure from Admiralty Arch before marching back along the Mall in full public view, as well as assisting with crossing points.

“The whole day was great PR for our cadets.”
