Volunteer Police Cadets Annual Competition

In July all 32 borough cadet teams pitted their skills and physical abilities against each other at Gravesend Specialist Training Centre in the Annual Cadet Competition.  The teams were tested at Drill, TSG Shield Run, SCO19, CBRN, Evidence Gathering, Training Village and Traffic Scenario.  The Lambeth VPC (Volunteer Police Cadets) team did fantastically well against strong competition, with an overall placing of 9th, and placing 3rd at Drill.

The competition to be in the Lambeth VPCs was tough this year, but 4 Bishop Thomas Grant pupils/past pupils made it into the team: Team Leaders Steffany Arana Valencia, Ewa Kunysz and Alex Echeverri and Cadet Instructor Bartek Mielniczuk.

The competition culminated in a large scale parade, with the cadets inspected by Sir Bernard Hogan-Howe, Commissioner of the Metropolitan Police, and Stephen Greenhalgh, Deputy Mayor for Policing and Crime.
