Homework in Religious Education

Key Stage 3

This is set once a week.  It may take the form of completing classwork, preparing for the next lesson, research on a given topic and learning for a test or timed essay.  All students are expected to produce a high standard of both classwork and homework.

Key Stage 4

Homework is set weekly.  It may take the form of completing classwork, preparing for the next lesson, researching a given topic, and learning for a test or timed essay.  All students are expected to produce a high standard of work.  Homework and classwork are marked using a common marking policy and comments are made as appropriate.  These are supportive and aimed at increasing the confidence of students.  At the end of each unit of work, students are given the opportunity to reflect on their performance and areas where greater help or application are needed.

Key Stage 5

Students are set weekly assignments.  At the end of each topic students will sit a written examination.  Homework is marked using a common marking policy and comments are made as appropriate.  These are supportive and aimed at increasing the confidence and progression of students.
