Ofsted Outstanding 2014-15

Bishop Thomas Grant School was inspected in October 2014 and judged to be Outstanding in all four areas of the inspection: Leadership and Management; Behaviour and Safety; Quality of Teaching; and Achievement of Pupils.  The Bishop Thomas Grant Sixth Form was also judged to be Outstanding.

Highly commended for BTEC school of the year 2018

  •  Entrants will be able to demonstrate an excellent commitment to the delivery and promotion of BTECs and will be widely regarded internally, externally, and within the community as a hub of BTEC excellence.
  • Entrants will have a strong track record of success, both in terms of the high-performing students it produces and the quality of the BTEC teaching staff it attracts. Entrants will have forged excellent wider relationships with employers, colleges and universities and will be innovative in its approach to the delivery of its BTEC programme.

Awards are for schools to recognise their achievements in supporting the health and wellbeing of their pupils.

Thousands of entries submitted to design a solution to the question "If you were an engineer, what would you do?"

 Departmental/School initiative awards

  • In Geography we were awarded ‘Secondary Geography Quality Mark’ from the Geographical Association.
  • Only award to around 30 schools a year, the award recognises "Quality and progress in geography leadership, curriculum development and learning and teaching".

Year 8 Winners of the Design award at the Tomorrow's Engineers EEP Robotics Challenge for London

Students compete against other schools to design, build and program a Lego robot to perform tasks 

Certificate of achievements in Stage Business Project 2015-16'

Selected schools participate in a project whereby they participate in workshops by leading practitioners in the world of theatre, and this culminates in the students planning and delivering their own specialist workshops.
