Weekly Mass

The celebration of Mass is central to the life of the school. The academic year begins with a mass for each year group. The Church tells us that celebrating the Mass is the “source and summit” of our Christian life. That means that our prayer at Mass gives us strength to do good things the rest of the week! As a school community we meet to remember Jesus’ gift of himself on the Cross, and to renew that gift by receiving his body and blood in the Eucharist. By participating in the Mass, and understanding it more and more, we can truly “work” for all the good things our world needs: peace, joy, and love. The Mass is one great prayer; the greatest prayer the Church can offer to God.

Wednesday mornings we celebrate Mass together as a school community each week with a pupil-led liturgy.  Each form group takes turns throughout the year hosting the ministries of the Mass. They coordinate everything from the readers, to altar servers, to prayer petitions.  Parents are welcomed and encouraged to share in this special time with us.

Mass Schedule

Mass is also celebrated on Holy Days of obligation. and at important events in the life of the school such as the Leavers' Mass and the Year 7 Mass of Welcome.
