Equality Objectives

Promoting inclusion and diversity:

  •  Our school aims to create an inclusive and diverse community, where all students feel valued and respected regardless of their background, ethnicity, or culture.
    • This is done through promoting understanding and respect for different cultures and providing opportunities for students to learn about other faiths and traditions.

Tackling discrimination:

  • Our school  aims to tackle discrimination and prejudice by providing training and resources to staff and students on issues such as racism, sexism, and homophobia.
    • We promote respect for diversity and challenging negative attitudes and behaviours within the school community.

Supporting disadvantaged students:

  • Our school provides additional support and resources for students from disadvantaged backgrounds, such as those from low-income families or with special educational needs.
    • We provide targeted interventions to help these students achieve their full potential and ensuring that they have equal access to opportunities within the school.

Fostering a sense of community:

  • Our school aims to foster a sense of community within the school, where all students feel part of a supportive and caring community.
    • We promote the values of compassion and empathy, encouraging students to take responsibility for each other's well-being, and providing opportunities for students to volunteer and give back to the wider community.

Encouraging leadership and participation:

  • Our school encourages leadership and participation among all students, regardless of their background or ability.
    • We provide opportunities for students to take on leadership roles within the school, such as peer mentoring or student council, and ensuring that all students have an equal say in decision-making processes within the school.
